slate jokesters (aka sparkle pony crotch) + the lamest shit ever..

I was going to blog all the magic pics of jackasses I took but i'm too fucking tired.
I will hook that shit up tomorrow night as well as some flyers and upcoming events!

press play.
Gearing up to hit this shiz up tonight:

Should be fun, the past few months Dan and I have been tearing through the 90s at Jerkys every week, it will be nice to be on the other side of the tables for a change. I'm stoked because of that and the fact that I have a feeling the Soul Clap boys know what the fuck they are doing based upon their 90s mixtape I heard a few months back.
Gearing up for Vegas I feel the need to hit my wardrobe up with some spring 09 shit, this is what peaks my intrest thus far:

The Reebok CL "Bespoke" is a much needed upgrade to the always relevant CL sneaker. Rocking the bespoke tailored look seems to be a theme amongst the major players lately, and I'm feeling the hell out of it. This new CL is sporting premium leather with a brogue punching on the trim and pinstripe wool on the uppers, classy.

New Hundreds Spring 09 Acc's drop the 12th of this month in both the LA and SF flagship stores. I'm feeling the B/W pieces repping their signature JAGS print.
3sixteen Spring 2009 Photoshoot from 3sixteen on Vimeo.
Finally, on the fashion tip, the 3sixteen spring 09 collection, all of it? Yes Plz.
I know Eastern Jam is a banger, there is no doubting this fact, which is why I was a bit of a skeptic when I saw High Rankin had done a remix of it. I'm feeling it, but not like I was when the original dropped. Wait, in the short period of time I have been doing this blog am I really going to post 2 tracks from High Rankin? Yup.
Chase & Status - Eastern Jam (High Rankin 100 Remix)
See yall tonight.
Happy almost birthday babe.

Shepard Fairey arrested at ICA, typical of "Bostons Finest"
Taken from A.P.:
BOSTON — A street artist famous for his red, white and blue "Hope" posters of President Obama has been arrested in Boston on two outstanding warrants.
Shepard Fairey was in Boston on Friday night for an event kicking off his exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art.
Police said they had warrants on Fairey from last month after he allegedly tagged property in Boston with graffitti based on his Andre the Giant street art campaign.
It was unclear if Fairey was being held on Saturday.
Fairey’s Obama image has been sold on hundreds of thousands of stickers and posters, and is the subject of a copyright dispute with The Associated Press. The 38-year-old Fairey, of Los Angeles, argues his use of the AP photo is protected by "fair use," which allows exceptions to copyright laws.
---------------------
How is there never any mention of the 300,000 he himself donated to the Obama campaign? Dont bother reading through the comments, they are all from the ignorant mainstream news-reading type. If you want some real news and a place to get it hit up Current.com they are usually pretty on point with the issues they cover.

In other news: The new Alife x Casio collaboration just came out with a custom GSHOCK DW-5600 watch in celebration of the new NAS record dropping. The watch features "ALIFE STATE OF MIND" etched into the wristband, a gold backing with the ALIFE SESSIONS logo, and custom detail on the face. The watch drops today at ALIFE nyc, ALIFE BC, and ALIFE LA flagship stores to a limited number of 100, good luck!

Bathing Ralph.

Meet Ralph, he actually doesnt seem to mind taking baths, isn't that fundamentally wrong being that he is a cat and all?

These Converse x Jams Mid Sneakers are dope. I think collabos are getting a little out of hand lately but this is one I fully endorse. Coming up in skateboard culture in the 80s I definitely rocked that print across a Tee being that I could not afford a pair of the Skidgrip sneaker, so I fully plan on picking up a pair of these this month. Props to converse for reviving a classic and recognizing David Rochien and one of the best skate shoes ever created.

I recently previewed my boy B-Rich's forthcoming remix of the AC Slater track Banger and its fucking insane, no really, its bonkers. Check it out here, its in the player down at the bottom of the page, you're welcome. See you all at Goodlife tomorrow for the Shepard Fairey show, still need an invite? Hit me up.

Savers delivers hard.
Has anyone else experienced the "Ikea Haze"? That funk you slip into once you have been in Ikea for a approximately 45 mins or more, equal to that feeling you get when you have just devoured half your weight in Thanksgiving turkey and you feel ready to collapse onto any surface that will support your weight long enough to sleep it off. Thats the state I found myself in late this afternoon but I quickly snapped out of it when Adriana told me about a pair of vintage ankle boots she had seen at Savers and thought I should check out. Often times a mecca for mens shoes, Savers is a great place to find the classics and this trip proved to be just as fruitful. I ended up picking up a pair of vintage hand-made British ankle boots, the insides are embossed with the measurements and a serial, the shop they were created in is still a mystery though. Peep the findings below:

Endtroducing..
So this is my first post and I figure it should be a good one, since its my first..or a bad one and you excuse its badness because its my first?
A bit about the title? Growing up on the Descendants I had to pay homage to them somehow, so it just made sense. Here is one of my all time favorite tracks by them:
Its either the lyrical content or the moody feel of that song that really stood out from all the other tracks on that cd (cassette tape?) being that I was about 14 when I first heard it and skateboarding and chasing girls that looked like Angela Chase were my main priorities in life. Anyways, this morning I woke to my doorbell ringing and a man with one of the largest unibrows I have ever seen was at the door asking me to move my car so he could get the dumpster out of his driveway across the street from my house, I told him I would and thought nothing of it until I went out with Adriana for coffee and hour later and was confronted by 4 men in hazmat suits drinking their coffee leaning against a van full of chemicals in odd bottles with this on the door (images via my telephoto lens and some sneaky peaking out the front door action):

Crime scene cleanup? What the hell? Tragic aftermath? IS that like your stove blew up and took out half your family? This makes me feel like I should read the newspaper or watch the news once in a while, I will do some research and let yall know what this is all about.
Enjoy!
